The "existential" theory I suppose isn't n...Betsy,<br /><br />The "existential" theory I suppose isn't necessarily a unique idea, but the way you described it seemed very similar to Nathaniel Branden's "self-concept is destiny."<br /><br />You are essentially arguing for a psychological element to politics, for instance.<br /><br />I've been coming to the same realization myself recently and I believe much of the political tyranny we witness is a result of immature, that is, childish, minds.
